Friday 12th June - Version 1.0

Introduction

This accessibility statement applies to the Augmentive website at augmentive.io and the Augmentive patient-facing web application, including referral entry, appointment booking, the patient portal and secure messaging.

This website is run by Augmentive Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website and our services. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings

  • zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen

  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software

  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet (https://mcmw.abilitynet.org.uk/) has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • you cannot complete the booking flow using only a keyboard

  • some form fields in the patient portal do not have visible labels

  • some PDF documents we provide are not fully accessible to screen reader software

Augmentive Ltd is committed to making its website and patient-facing application accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some images do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content). We plan to fix this by 12 December 2026.

  • Error messages on some forms are not announced to screen reader users. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.3 (status messages). We plan to fix this by 12 December 2026.

When we publish new content we'll make sure it meets accessibility standards.

What we're doing to improve accessibility

We are working towards full compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA. Our plan is to resolve the highest-impact issues identified in our most recent assessment first, and to reach full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance within 6 months, by 12 December 2026. We review progress against this plan quarterly.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 12 June 2026. It was last reviewed on 12 June 2026.

We will review this statement at least annually. The next review is due by 12 June 2027.

This website was last tested on 12 June 2026 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. The test was carried out by the Augmentive product team as an internal self-assessment. We tested the key patient journeys — homepage, referral entry, appointment booking, patient portal, secure messaging and account forms — using automated tools (axe DevTools and Lighthouse) alongside manual checks covering keyboard-only navigation, screen reader use (VoiceOver), 200% browser zoom, colour contrast and form labelling.
